Ryan Byrne is a pro bassist, music educator, entrepreneur, web designer and digital marketer. As a Nashville touring bassist he has performed nationally and internationally with recording artists such as Stephen Cochran, actor/musician Larry Bagby (known to movie fans for his role as Johnny Cash's bassist in the hit movie Walk the Line), nationally acclaimed guitarist Steve Rutledge (Steve Holy, Groove Evolution / Liquid Velvet), Courtney Dickinson, Tom Dixon, Marion Grace, and more. Byrne is also the founder/co-frontman/bassist of New Hampshire indie-rock band, Nostalgic Distortion. After a 10-year-run, Byrne put Nostalgic Distortion on indefinite hiatus in late 2004, and left the White Mountains of northern New Hampshire for the hustle and bustle of Music City. Taking advantage of the opportunities offered to independent musicians in the new era of digital media, Byrne became a serious student of social media and it's powerful marketing potential. Next, he delved into the world of WordPress web design, and began taking online courses in HTML, CSS, and PHP to improve his coding and design skills. This eventually led Byrne to rebranding and expanding his vanity recording labels (251 Records/Dissonance Records) into 251 Group, a home-based web design/digital marketing agency that caters to musical artists, music educators, and small businesses.
